Giorgia Cantarini is a Fashion Director, curator, and creative consultant working at the intersection of fashion, culture, and visual storytelling.
With an international career spanning publishing, luxury retail, consultancy, and media, she has developed a multidisciplinary practice combining editorial direction, exhibition curation, brand consultancy, and image making.
Formerly Senior Fashion Editor at L'Officiel Italia and L'Officiel Hommes Italia, she also served as Fashion Editor at Yoox Net‑a‑Porter Group and later as Buying and Fashion Director at Antonioli Group, where she oversaw fashion vision and buying strategy.
Her editorial work has appeared in leading publications including Vogue Italia, i‑D, Rolling Stone, Grazia, Glamour, La Repubblica, Hunger and ShowStudio.
In 2011 she published the book "A Short Novel on Men's Fashion" with Marsilio Editori, exploring the cultural and aesthetic evolution of menswear. The book later inspired the exhibition of the same name curated by Olivier Saillard.
Cantarini has also developed curatorial projects exploring fashion heritage and archival culture, including American Fashion Fit Exhibition Vintage Sale and Artisanal Margiela Vintage Sale x YOOX.com.
In 2020 she created and launched S|STYLE – Sustainable Style at Pitti Uomo, a pioneering platform that scouts, styles and showcases emerging designers working with responsible materials and experimental practices. The project was developed in collaboration with Kering's Material Innovation Lab and has become a reference for next‑generation sustainable design.
Alongside editorial and curatorial work, she collaborates with brands and cultural institutions as a creative consultant and image director, advising on brand storytelling, visual identity and collection development. Over the years she has consulted for brands including Tod's, Missoni, Sportmax and Antonioli Group.
Her work also includes celebrity styling and personal image consulting. She has dressed artists such as Lenny Kravitz (Ride music video), Kit Harington, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding, Louis Partridge and Peggy Gou.
She has worked with photographers including Nick Knight, Rankin, Mark Seliger, Matt Holyoak, Carla Guler, Julien Boudet, Mattia Guolo, Acielle and Axle Jozeph.
Her work focuses on emerging designers, fashion culture, sustainability and the evolving relationship between archival fashion and contemporary visual identity.
